Like Italian food and cuisine, many of the dishes of Mexican food have also found lots of takers and popularity all around the world. Mexican food and Mexico cuisine is well known for its variety of ingredients, spices, flavors, nutritional content, colorful presentation and its ancient and traditional methods of cooking and recipes. Corn, beans and corn based dishes are the most renowned culinary of Mexico. Chilli Powder, Cumin, Oregano, Garlic, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Cilantro, and Onions are some of the most common spices and ingredients in the Mexican Cuisine.





Corn, the staple grain of Mexico, is traditionally eater fresh and raw but in the modern world, corn is used in preparation of hundreds of varieties of dishes including tortillas, gorditas, masa and tamales, among many others. Besides the commonly used spices and corn, squash and pepper are also invariably used in most of the Mexican food items. Sweet potato, peanuts, avocado, vanilla, tomatillos, guava, papaya, pineapple and sapote are some of the most commonly cultivated fruits and vegetables in Mexico and these are often used in the Mexican meals. Meat dishes of Mexico include chicken, goat, sheep and pigs. Besides corn, wheat, rice and barley are also commonly used grains in the Mexican food. In some of the modern cuisines of Mexico, wine, parsley, olive oil and almonds have also been used extensively.
